This CANAP sponsored scholarship is available to all Advance Practice Nursing students who are CANAP members in good standing.

The scholarship is currently $1,000.00 and is to be presented to single winning applicant in the month of April and one in October.

Applicants must apply in March and September by delivering to the President-Elect of CANAP the following materials:

• Evidence of current enrollment in an APN program
• A brief description of how the candidate plans to use the money
• One full page paper exploring the candidate's view of what it means to be an Advanced Practice Nurse
• A list of professional organizations to which the candidate belongs
• A cumulative grade point average of not less than 3.0

Approximately three weeks prior to CANAP's April meeting, the current officers will gather to read over the application materials from each candidate and decide a winner.  A $1,000.00 check will be presented to the winning candidate at the April meeting along with a certificate designed by Anne's husband, Dr. Lawrence Chien.  The same process will be repeated for the October meeting.

The scholarship will be presented to single winning applicant at the meeting with a certificate designed by Anne's husband, Dr. Lawrence Chien.
